Job description

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, free-thinking person to join us as Director of Menopause for one of our exciting new categories in Female Health. You will be responsible for the overall definition and growth of our new Menopause category under the brand “Menopause Care”.


Menopause symptoms can be extremely debilitating for women. In the UK alone, there are approximately 10m menopausal women with 400k becoming menopausal every year. 80% of menopausal women suffer from symptoms of falling oestrogen and testosterone. Despite its severity, the problem hasn’t been solved, yet. Only 15% of eligible women are on treatment and there are fewer than 300 advanced menopause specialists and inadequately trained doctors means women are underserved.


This role will be pivotal in shaping innovative healthcare solutions for women. You will define how to expand our market presence and improve services and experiences for women.


As the Director of Menopause, you will work closely alongside our Head of Female Health, Dr Naomi Potter, to manage and scale this category. Your leadership, direction and innovation will define the category's success, contributing to our mission of building more good years into life.


This is a key builder and leadership role and it is a perfect fit for a someone who wants to learn how to build and grow a business from 0 to $100m.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategically Lead: Lead together with the Head of Female Health to craft and refine the overarching strategy for the Female Health category, focusing on patient experience enhancement, product innovation, and market expansion.

  • Drive Execution: Work together with the Head of Female Health on the operational implementation of strategic plans, including the product roadmap and profit and loss management.

  • Foster Growth: To acquire a solid understanding of the female health market. To identify and pursue growth opportunities within this space, analysing performance metrics and leading improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate Across Functions: Leverage shared resources (e.g. marketing, clinical, service) to enhance the success of the category.

  • Innovate Value Propositions: Develop unique and differentiated value propositions that set MANUAL apart in the marketplace, delivering exceptional health outcomes and customer experiences.

Job requirements

  • 8+ years of work experience

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Understanding the nuances of the female health market in the UK and knowing how to leverage them

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically, laterally and outside the box.

  • Proven ability to be organised, and deliver results

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • We are looking for candidates with previous experience in strategy consulting/PE/IBD or in a startup ideally with some experience in the health market
