Job description

We are looking for an Innovation Ops & Strategy Manager who is ambitious and up for the challenge of scaling and delivering clinical innovation initiatives at MANUAL.


You will leverage scientific research techniques to chart the future of health categories, responsible for learning, leading and launching value creation for our patients.

This role will report to the Clinical Innovation Director and sits within the clinical division of MANUAL. You will work closely with the Commercial Lead for Weight Loss, Head of Product, Head of Customer Insights and Clinical Research Lead on project delivery. The role is highly cross-functional, and you should contact commercial, operational and product teams daily.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and deliver experiments that test new customer value propositions, product and go-to-market hypotheses,

  • Responsible for the operational execution of these internal research projects and tests,

  • Coordinate activities and deliverables of all project stakeholders so we’re moving as a team, including wider communication of progress to the company,

  • Relentlessly measure and track project KPIs, holding everyone accountable for execution. For example, clinical impact, recruitment and retention of participants,

  • Proactively identify and manage issues before they become problems, bringing creative solutions,

  • Working closely with external academic and research partners to deliver clinical trials

Job requirements

  • You have a university science degree in a field that utilises quantitative research, e.g. medicine, public health, natural sciences,
  • You are unphased by ambiguity and relish bringing structure, organisation, and focus to your work with a bias for action

  • You have analytics experience in building operational models and defining performance tracking to measure the success of your initiatives

  • You are decisive and comfortable executing projects within a cross-functional team environment, including operations, product commercial, and medical

  • You understand the importance of research in evidence-based medicine

  • You’re happy to go above and beyond to deliver results


NICE TO HAVE

  • You have 3+ years experience of working within a medical, scientific or industry research environment, and 2+ years working in a commercial environment e.g. management consultancy or startup

  • You have experience in statistics or biostatistics

  • Previous digital health, commercial or startup experience, managing multiple projects, competing priorities and senior stakeholders
