Job description

We are looking for an experienced weight loss practitioner to join as a Weight Loss Coaching Team Lead, reporting to the Head of Weight Loss Coaching. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week.


This is an ideal role for someone who wants to challenge themselves in a fast-paced environment and manage a dynamic team of weight loss coaches in order to empower individuals to achieve sustainable weight loss and lead healthier lives. Your time will be split between team lead and coaching responsibilities:

  • As the Team Lead you will build out the team and empower them to deliver high value, evidence-based coaching.

  • You will support the development and training of our weight loss coaches from onboarding new starters, to up-skilling for new services and driving continuous improvement.

  • As one of our experienced Weight Loss Coaches, you will support our customers on their weight loss journeys through 1-to-1 coaching, messaging, and creating content.

  • You will work closely with the Head of Weight Loss Coaching to ensure robust clinical governance, quality standards, strong customer outcomes and data reporting.


This is an entrepreneurial role. Your insights and feedback will be integral to constantly innovating and improving the offering to ensure customers obtain the best possible value and results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support customers on their weight loss journey either through 1-to-1 coaching (video & telephone) and asynchronous messaging.

  • Recruit, supervise and develop a team of high performing weight loss coaches in an evolving environment to deliver evidence-based behaviour change skills in practice

  • Fortnightly line management of your team of coaches with 1:1s

  • Be the point of first contact between weight loss coaches, the customer service team and our team of clinicians

  • Manage and escalate customer complaints and serious adverse events to the appropriate members of the company

  • Work closely with the Head of Weight Loss Coaching to ensure quality assurance, clinical governance, strong customer outcomes (weight loss, customer satisfaction, retention, etc) and data reporting which evidences our results

Job requirements

  • Registered Dietitian (HCPC) or Registered Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition (ANutr/RNutr) with a minimum of 2 years' direct experience supporting adults in weight loss

  • Minimum of 1 year of team management experience

  • Experienced to a very high level with evidence-based behaviour change skills e.g. Motivational Interviewing—should be able to confidently and effectively support their team with evolving their practice in this area (a key part of this role)

  • Possesses strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail for meaningful audit and reporting

  • Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

  • Exhibits a desire to optimise processes and systems to enhance the customer experience

  • Committed to going above and beyond to provide a fantastic customer experience

  • Demonstrates confidence, patience, and diplomacy in handling difficult situations both internally within the business and externally with customers

  • Has an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong ability to take ownership and execute tasks

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is self-motivated to deliver high-quality work every day

HIRING PROCESS

  • Submit application: Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications through our online portal

  • Practical task: Shortlisted applicants will be given a practical task related to the role to assess their skills and abilities

  • Interview with Head of Weight Loss Coaching and Head of Behaviour Change: Successful candidates from the practical task stage will proceed to the first round of interviews, where they will meet with members of the hiring team to discuss their experiences and qualifications

  • Interview with in-house hiring champion: Finalists will have the opportunity to interview with our in-house hiring champion, who will assess their fit within our organisation and culture, as well as provide additional insights into the role and company
